ANF drive against drug suppliers continues

Islamabad—Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted 32 operations in different cities of the country, recovered 15.32 kg drugs and nabbed 36 suppliers.
The operations were carried out at Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Mianwali, Jhelum, Layyah, Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Peshawar, Mansehra, Hyderabad and Karachi under directive of Director General ANF, Major General Nasir Dilawar Shah.
The Force has launched a “Special Anti Drug Drive” with special focus on Educational Institutions and Youth.
As per details, ANF Rawalpindi conducted nine operations and arrested 12 drug peddlers along with recovery of 3.2 Kg drugs. The operations included arrest of an accused namely Atta-ur-Rehman, resident of Attock and recovered 600 Gram Hashish from his possession. He was arrested from Main Gate, Asfand Yar Bukhari Shaheed Railway Park, Attock.
In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 250 Gram Heroin from Zameer Hussain, resident of Rawalpindi who was arrested at Stadium near Choa Khalsa, Kalar Syedan, Rawalpindi.
Yet in another operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 200 Gram Heroin from possession of a drug peddler Danish who was arrested from Village Mirza, Attock. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Muhammad Shafique alias Gora and his female accomplice named Nasrin along with recovery of 250 Gram Hashish. They were arrested near Askana College, Main Road, Gulzar-e-Quaid, Rawalpindi.
In fifth operation ANF Rawalpindi recovered 500 Gram Heroin and 250 Gram Hashish from Malik Anjum Shehzad Paracha and Malik Waseem who were arrested near Islamia Government School, Waris Khan, Rawalpindi.
In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 130 Gram Heroin from a local drug peddler identified as Zafar Mehmood who was arrested form Alipur Farash, Islamabad.—APP
