Andaz Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament begins

Khanewal—All-District Khanewal Andaz Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament 2016, organised by Andaz Club began here at 168/10-R cricket ground with matches played on Sunday.
The first match was played between Tigers Club Jahanian and Kashmir Eleven Kabirwala in which Tigers Club defeated the rival team. The second match was played between Tahir Rasheed Eleven Khanewal and City Star Club Khanewal in which Tahir Rasheed won.
Playing first, Tigers Club Jahanian scored 274 runs in fixed 20 overs at the loss of four wickets. Muhammad Yousaf was top scorer who made 72 runs, Muhammad Ibrar 55 runs and Owais Ahmed contributed 54 runs to the total. The Kashmir Eleven failed to achieve the target as the whole team returned to pavilion at a total of 177 runs.
In the second match, City Star Club Khanewal scored 156 runs in which Atif Ahmed remained top scorer for contributing 38 runs while Muhammad Imran scored 32 runs. The Tahir Rasheed Eleven achieved the target after losing three wickets and won the match by seven wickets.—APP
