AML, PTI MNAs to resign if demands not met: Rashid

Islamabad
Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid  on Thursday again threatened to resign if the government failed to fulfill his and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) demands regarding the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), interim government and Electoral Act. He said that the AML and PTI would start a campaign against Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), interim government and Electoral Act. The AML chief said that he and the members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would also tender resignations. Sheikh Rashid said that the Electoral Reforms Act 2017 adopted by the Parliament to re-elect Nawaz Sharif as party president is not acceptable. He warned that they would not sit silent if the changes were made in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) laws.—INP
