Karachi—While the Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah claimed Monday that 9 serious cases have been resolved, and two notorious terrorists have been arrested during police campaign. Information Advisor Maula Bux Chandio revealed that ex-ministers, advisers and government servants have been ordered to surrender government vehicles or face punitive action.
They included killers of Amjad Sabri Qawwal, and of security personnel in Karachi. Those held by counter terrorism chief Raja Umar Khitab from Liaquatabad, were Ishaq alias Bobby and Asim alias Capri.
“Their weapons were also recovered… After a probe and forensic investigation, we found proof of involvement in 28 cases,” the CM told a press conference . He said that they were affiliated with banned outfits like Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (Naeem Bukhari) group, and had not with any political party.
They involved in 28 criminal cases. Among the high-profile cases the two are accused in, include the October 30 attack on a Majlis in Nazimabad, attack on two Army personnel in Saddar parking plaza
Other cases the accused are involved in are 21 May 2016 attack on police constables in Aisah Manzil, 20 April 2016 attack in which seven policemen were martyred, 1 December 2015 attack in which two traffic policemen were killed, 20 November 2015 attack on Rangers in which four personnel were killed and 29 August 2015 attack in which Amir Haider Advocate Supreme Court was killed.
Weapons recovered from their possession included three SMGs, 27 pistols and an MP5 snatched from the police.
During the news conference, the chief minister stressed people were being detained whenever there was any suspicion of wrongdoing. He added that the province was also seeking the centre’s help to fight terrorism.
In post-cabinet briefing, Chandio said the government has taken a serious view of those still keeping official cars with them for several months after quitting offices. The chief minister has ordered these cars to be returned within 24 hours, failing which judicial proceedings will start against non-listeners. The number plates of these cars will be communicated to concerned quarters.
Chandio added that after the 18th amendment the Federal Government still failed to delegate all powers to the Sindh Government and in this regard Chairman Senate also criticized that this is unconstitutional attitude of federal Government.
In the Cabinet Meeting Law and Order situation has been discussed and Chief Minister appreciated the services of Police and Rangers to restore the Law and Order situation. Government never takes action against any specific sect and action is taken without any discrimination. Chandio further said for Karachi operation all the law enforcement agencies are on same page. The Chief Minister satisfied about the restoring of the law and order situation. About present incidents, both side peoples have been arrested and it is totally wrong impression that the Government is supporting one sect.
He said that we are also monitoring the religious madaris and we are alert and if any incident will take place by religious madaris we will take action against them.
In today’s Cabinet Meeting Chief Minister also directed all the Departments to hold/ conduct Departmental Promotion Committee Meeting so that promotion process will continue. Important information about employment is being gathered and it will be announced within few days. He said that the Chief Minister ordered to complete the in-process development schemes within the stipulated time without fail.

Moula Bux Chandio said that the four points demand from the Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the only solution to solve the present scenario/ problems.
