Islamabad—Allama Iqbal propagated the message of hope and firm determination which is directly dependent upon one’s will to choose the way of constant struggle and virtual practice.
Chairman Muslim Institute Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali shared these views while delivering a lecture titled “Iqbal A Role Model for Youth” chaired by Air Vice Marshal (R) Faaiz Amir Vice Chancellor Air University Islamabad.
He was of the view that youth was the main focus of Iqbal in his poetry. Iqbal declared youth a symbol of hope and bright future for a nation. Iqbal symbolizes youth in his futuristic approach regarding the rise of nations.
Iqbal himself was a symbol of hope for Muslims of sub-continent. In his young age, iqbal devoted himself for the cause of Muslims. He struggled hard to awake Muslims from deep slumber. In this respect, Iqbal introduces economics to Muslims even it has not gained the status of a subject at that time when he was quite young. Iqbal expected the same from youth and was worried about the likelihood of their indulgence in the misuse of coming technologies like smart phones and social media.
If the youth is ready to contribute their due role in the character building of our communities then how could it possible that despite having such a large number of youngsters, our journey toward progress and prosperity fell a prey to dormancy. It was the mission of Iqbal to help youth in getting rid of the curse of procrastination and lust for materialism.
