All Pakistan Youth Carnival from tomorrow

Peshawar—The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is going to hold a historical Youth Carnival with the name of MC-16 Mega Challenge commencing at Qayyum Sports Complex Peshawar from March 5-6, 2016 to present a soft image of the province to the entire world.
This was stated by KP Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Mahmood Khan during a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Thursday. He said that the event was aimed at paying ways for people of other provinces particu-larly students to remove their fear and come to the host-province and observe peace and tranquility in KP. More than 1500 students from leading 230 edu-cational institutions across Pakistan will be coming Peshawar to participate in 27 different competitions.
The minister said Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan would inaugurate the MC16 on March 05, 2016 while Chief Minister KP Pervez Khan Khattak would be the chief guest to conclude the grand carnival.
The event, he said had been named as Mega Challenge Youth Carnival 16 (MC16), in which hundreds of youths throughout the country would demonstrate their talents in dif-ferent fields. The MC16, the minister added would help the youth promoting their talent and their inter-action with each other as well.
He said that department of sports and youth affairs had contacted with almost 153 universities across the country including, Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan for the event, out of which 38 confirmed their participation. The students of religious institutes (Madaris) were also requested to participate, he said.
The MC16, he further informed 26 different competitions were parts of it including Qir’at, Na’at Khwani, English and Urdu declamation and essays, writing, quiz, painting, short filming, calligraphy, photography, music in Pashto, Hindu, Urdu and English etc. The participants, he said 300 male and 117 female from KP.—APP
