Lahore—Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana on Thursday said the government was utilising all-out resources for progress of the agriculture sector and welfare of people affiliated with it.
He said this while talking to Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAOUN) Director General Jose Graziano Da Silva who met him at the Governor’s House here.
He said, “There is a need to adopt an effective plan against water scarcity, environmental changes and fulfil needs of food. He added: “We should utilise services of the FAOUN for bringing about revolutionary changes in the agriculture sector”.
He said there was a dire need to ensure food security for providing better future to the next generations.
Graziano Da Silva said the FAOUN would provide full support to create awareness among people about food security and development of the agriculture sector in Pakistan.
