Ali Zaidi demands accountability of those supporting MQM

Karachi—Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ali Zaidi has sent a letter to Army Chief General Raheel Sharif demanding ban on Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) after ‘anti-Pakistan’ speeches from its London-based leader Altaf Hussain. In a letter, Mr. Zaidi said why such statements were being allowed to be propagated.
He said after MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s speeches and Farooq Sattar’s press conference therefore, a ban should be imposed on the party.
In a surprising demand, he also urged the army chief to hold all those accountable ‘who are still supporting the MQM’.
He also termed press conference of Dr. Sattar as an eyewash and said it was meant to hoodwink people of Pakistan.
Referring to that presser, he said: “Please do not let these criminals insult our intelligence agencies by trying to separate MQM London and MQM Pakistan.
He claimed that MQM leaders still treat Altaf Hussain as their ‘Rohani Rehnuma’ (spiritual leader).— INP
