Ali Haider Gilani says kidnappers, facilitators were from Punjab

Multan—Former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani’s son Ali Haider Gillani on Sunday revealed that those who kidnapped him and acted as facilitators were from Punjab.
Addressing a press conference in Multan, Gillani said that the facilitators in his kidnapping were also from Punjab. He said that he had already informed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif about the facilitators of the kidnappers.
He said that he had gone out after hearing gun shots some three years ago and subsequently was kidnapped. He said that he was taken to Faisalabad by his kidnappers. He paid tributes to the security guards who were gunned down when they resisted his kidnappers. He said that he was penning down a book detailing his ordeal during the three long years in captivity.
Regarding law and order situation, he said that there had been marked improvement in law and order situation of the country. He called for jointly fighting the war against terrorism.
To a question about his tendency toward religion after his release, he said that he was Muslim before his kidnapping. He said that he was inclined towards religions before the kidnapping and he was even today.
It is to be mentioned here that Ali Haider Gilani was kidnapped in 2013 by al-Qaeda from Multan and was released earlier this year after an operation in Afghanistan following three-year captivity.— INP
