Pallanderi, Ajk—The Chief Election Commissioner of AJK Mr Justice Mustaa Mughal has reiterated that holding of transparent general elections to 29-seat AJK Assembly is my responsibility, but at the same he asked the politicians no to create an a mutually warring atmosphere in the territory.
Justie Mughal was addressing here district bar association. He told the participants that by mid-May schedule for general elections would be announced and polls would be held under the supervision o judiciary, armed forces and rangers to ensure fairness and transparency. Be it recalled that eletions to the Kashmir Council headquartererd in Islamabad will be held on May 15, 2016.
He stated that both bench and bar are one in ensuring cheap justice to the litigants; their mutual strength and unanimity are essential pillars of justice system and early disposal of cases. He suggested that before estalishing circuit benches government should keep in view the local environment for better outcome. He praised the functions of the subordinate judiciary, saying he never compromised with corruption.
Justice Mustqfa Mughal also administered oath of offices to newly elected members of the bar association. President bar association sardar Mohammad Asif Saeed among several others who addressed the meeting. Justice Mughal said that in coming financial years two more offices of civil judges would be opened one at Mang and other at Trarkhel. Civil judges will start functioning from July, 2016.
