Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) cabinet here on Friday set-up a high level committee to ensure the financial discipline in the region. Chief Secretary Mian Waheed-Ud-Din will head the committee that will finalise the recommendations for maintaining the strict financial discipline. The recommendations would be presented in the next cabinet meeting. While chairing the cabinet meeting the AJK premier Farooq Haider said that following the 13th amendment it is the collective responsibility of the government departments to ensure the strict financial discipline. He said the taxes and revenue collection amount will be directly deposited in the AJK government’s Account Number 101.
The premier Haider further said that getting tax collection rights through 13th amendment in AJK is of course a huge responsibility that can be fulfilled through the clean and strict financial discipline for that every government department has to play its role. He said that a neat and clean financial discipline is need of the hour for the welfare of the public. Prime Minister Hadier said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz PML-N government will continue to introduce reforms for the betterment and welfare of the people of AJK.
“ The supremacy of law in AJK and support for the ongoing liberation movement in Indian Held Kashmir will be the top priorty of present government,” premier Haider added. The cabinet also passed a resolution to condemn the Indian bid to remove the Article 35A of India Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Such move is a bid to convert the Muslim majority of Ocucpied Kashmir into minority which is unacceptable to Kashmiris across the Line of Control (LoC).
