Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, during a meeting at Governor’s House, brought Princiapl Aitchison College Michael Thomsan round on Thursday to take back his resignation.
The principal had resigned due to political pressure and disagreement with the Board of Governors two days back.
The governor met Thomsan on Wednesday and asked him to reconsider his decision to resign.
The principal called on Chaudhry Sarwar on Thursday and informed him that he was willing to continue his job.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Governor Sarwar said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) believed in merit and merit would be the sole criterion in admissions.
