Air Chief exchanges views on furthering ties with Saudi defence leadership


Islamabad—Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman on Wednesday called on Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud Deputy Crown Prince and Minister of Defence of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Air Chief conveyed the best wishes and greetings from the government and people of Pakistan, a PAF news release here stated.
He also appreciated Saudi Arabia’s role in pro-moting peace and stability in the region and thanked the Saudi government for an unwavering support to Pakistan. Muhammad bin Salman expressed his satisfaction on the level of brotherly relations and bilateral cooperation between both the countries. He lauded PAF’s leading role in ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb against the extremist element and reiterated his resolve to stand by Pakistan at every moment.
The Air Chief separately called on General Abd-ul-Rehman bin Saleh Al-Bunyan, Chief of General Staff, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Both the dignitaries remained together for some time and discussed various matters of professional and mutual interests.
The Air Chief apprised General Abd-ul-Rehman about PAF’s leading role in ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb. The Air Chief offered all training facilities to the Saudi cadets and airmen to enhance their capa-bilities and assured the excellent relationship be-tween two air forces will improve. The Saudi Chief of General Staff thanked the Air Chief for his visit and expressed Saudi Arabia’s keenness to boost collaboration with Pakistan in the field of defence.—APP
