AIOU holds ‘Education awareness’ Day

Islamabad—Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Friday observed an ‘Education awareness’ day to brief students about its academic programmes and services, enabling them to continue their study at higher-level. The Day was organized by Directorate of Students Advisory and Counseling Services, in collaboration with Directorate of Regional Services and Admissions.
A number of stalls were set up by the University’s Faculties and services departments.
The event was largely attended by students and tutors from Rawalpindi and Islamabad regions.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui said on the occasion that, “The University has launched a number of initiatives to motivate and encourage the students towards educational pursuits.
He hoped they would take benefit of new academic programmes and educational services, recently undertaken by the University.”
Dean Faculty of Sciences Dr. Nagmana Rashid, Director Regional Services Arif Saleem Arif, Dirctor Admissions, Syed Zia-ul Hasnain and Director Students Affairs Rana Tariq Javed apprised the students of the ongoing admissions that will continue till Sept 5.
The AIOU with affordable fee structure has launched around 1200 academic programs to meet the educational needs of the people.—APP
