AIG-Sindh Police assures sympathetic consideration to SRP grievances

Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG-Welfare) for Sindh, Ghulam Azfar Maheesar Wednesday assured that Sindh Reserve Police (SRP) cops relieved of their services would be extended sympathetic hearing so that no injustice is caused.
According to Sindh police department spokesman, the AIG – Sindh in a meeting with representatives of the cops protesting against their removal, claimed to be unjustified by many, assured that their appeals
and grievances verbally communicated to him will be presented to the IGP-Sindh in a documented form.
Maheesar was quoted to have said that in compliance to the directives issued by IGP – Sindh, Amjad Jawed Salimi decisions regarding fate of concerned SRP cops would be finalized in accordance
to factual position and relevant rules.
He urged the affected cops to ensure that their appeals are duly forwarded to the concerned authorities without any delay adding that hearing on these appeals would begin in three days’ time.—APP
