Ahsan: CPEC new generation’s project

Islamabad—Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was a project that would change the fate of Pakistani generations to come. Talking to media, the minister said, he had briefed All Parties Conference (APC), media and parliamentary committee on CPEC.
Even, the representatives of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were also present in the committee meeting who also reviewed the western route of the corridor and expressed their satisfaction on it, he added.
He said not even a single thing was concealed regarding the corridor and it would provide equal benefits to all the provinces. The minister said all the political parties through APC endorsed the project as it was a national mega project. He said the government was determined to protect the national project and termed it a game changer for the country and region. He said the Prime Minister had allocated massive funds for the deployment of security personnel for the protection of CPEC.
He said Pakistan and China enjoyed good and cordial relations. He appreciated China to invest in Pakistan. Ahsan Iqbal said Chinese government has allocated $46 billion for CPEC and $38 billion would be spent on the energy sector as it was imperative to overcome the crisis to further strengthen the national economy.—APP
