AGP recovers Rs75b in six months

The Department of Auditor General of Pakistan (DAGP) has recovered Rs75 billion during first six months (July- December) of the year 2016-17. As compared to recoveries of Rs81 billion during year 2015- 16, the amount recovered at the instance of audit during six months of 2016-17 from July 2016 to December 2016 stands at Rs75 billion which was remarkable and evident of the commitment of DAGP towards its zero tolerance policy for corruption, Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) Javaid Jehangir said while talking to the delegates of World Bank Mission in Pakistan here on Thursday. He said the DAGP was committed towards its mission to promote accountability, transparency and good governance in the management and use of public resources.
