Aftab wants ontime compelition of dev schemes

Attock—A meeting was held in DCO office Attock to review development schemes in district Attock. Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed chaired meeting. Provincial Minister for Mines
Ch Sher Ali, Member National Assembly Malik Eitbar Khan, Members Provincial Assembly Malik Shawaiz Khan, Malik Zafar Iqbal, Jehangir Khanzada, former member provincial assembly Punjab Asif Ali Malik, nominated Chairman Municipal Committee Attock Sheikh Nasir Mehmood, Senior Vice President PML-N Attock Salim Shahzad, DCO Attock Rana Akbar Hayat, Assistant Commissioners, Executive District Officers, TMO’s and by other relevant officers attended the meeting.
DO Planning Javaid Bhatti briefed the participants about ongoing development schemes in district. Giving briefing he said that as many as 285 schemes of education sector are in progress worth of Rs 483 million. 238 other schemes with a cost of Rs 408 million are also in the pipeline. These schemes include health, education, development and renovation of roads, up gradation of schools etc. Moreover provincial building is completing 38 schemes with a sum of Rs 899 million.
Federal Minister Sheikh Aftab Ahmed has said that all schemes must be completed in time so that public can get benefit from the said schemes. He said no compromise would be made on quality and quantity of the schemes. He further stated that all elected members and officers of relevant departments must visit the schemes to ensure in time completion of the schemes.
He said these schemes are for the public and govt. of the Punjab is ensuring in time completion of the development schemes. He further stated that committees on National and Provincial level have been constituted to monitor all the development work.
