Aftab: 90pc Punjab land record computerised; 5m errors corrected

Attock—State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad has said that computerisation of land record across the Punjab province is a revolutionary step taken by Chief Minister Punjab which has made possible easy access to land record for every citizen of the Punjab. He said this while ad-dressing a press conference here at Land Record Management and Information Centre Attock.
State Minister said that in Punjab to computerise land record in 143 tehsils Land Record Centres were established and so for 90 percent land record has been computerised while the remaining record will soon be computerised while more than five million errors in land record have been corrected.
He said that in Attock 95 percent land record has been computerised. He said that for the computerisation of urban land record a project will be launched on 30th June this year. Sheikh Aftab said this step of Chief Minister will be written with golden words in history.
Earlier AC Nazarat Ali in his briefing said that documents of land transfer and other record is pro-vided to an individual with in 30 to 50 minutes . He said that different issues pertaining to 4000 khevits have been settled while a Help Desk is available for reddressal of complaints and routine matters.
