Karachi—Administrator Karachi, Laiq Ahmed on Monday directed the officials concerned to prioritize the development schemes and prepare a list of same by the end of this financial year. He said that efforts will be made to request funds from the Sindh Government for selected development schemes.
He said this while attending a briefing by the Finance Department here, said a statement. Advisor on Finance, Muhammad Rehan Khan briefed the meeting with regard to recovery and expenses of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.
The Administrator directed the officials to prepare a list of those development schemes which can be completed ahead of this June, but are in pending due to non-availability of resources. He directed the officials concerned to expedite the work on the ongoing development schemes.
He also announced that a meeting of the officials of Recovery and Finance departments will be called to discuss important matters with regard to finance and recovery. The Administrator also directed to ensure payment of salaries and pension on time.—APP
