UAE’s National Day
Islamabad—Ambassador Essa Abdulla Al Basha Al Noaimi of the United Arab Emirates hosted a warm and glittering reception here to celebrate the national day of his country. A large number of guests graced the function. Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar was the chief guest on the occasion.
The people and rulers of the UAE are justly proud of the achievements of the Emirates since its formation. The finance minister said relations between the two countries are based on mutual trust and respect.
On behalf of prime minister of Pakistan and the people of Pakistan, Dar extended heartiest felicitation to the President, Prime Minister and the people of UAE on their national day.
He said the people of Pakistan feel proud for contributing to the development of various sectors of UAE including infrastructure, ports and shipping, banking and finance.
Ambassador Essa Abdullah in his remarks said the UAE wanted to promote the principle of peace and development in the region and discourage the ideology of terrorism and extremism.
He said UAE was cooperating with Pakistan in various sectors including education, human development, infrastructure and road network.
From small and uncertain beginning, the seven emirates combated myriad trial and tribulations to emerge as a living template of modernity, peace and prosperity, riding high on the world’s stage in almost every field. The union was crafted by men born in an unforgiving desert environment where water and food scarce scare, and cooling shade even scarcer. The people of the UAE have left this misery far behind.
