A total of 716 names of terrorists enlisted in the ‘red book’, have been forwarded to the Interior Ministry and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for strict action against them.
According to sources, the list of terrorists included wanted terrorists from the four provinces. The FIA stated that the government should block all ID cards, passports and bank accounts of these terrorists besides putting their names on the Exit Control List (ECL). Necessary instructions have also been issued to all the embassies on the matter.
According to the FIA, the main reason for taking this action is to identify all the terrorists that have managed to escape Pakistan and the ones that are operating overtly and residing abroad.
The Federal Investigation Agency maintains Red Book containing information about high-profile criminals including human traffickers, terrorists and known extremists.
