6 killed in road accidents in Punjab

Punjab Emergency Service (PES) provided services to victims of 912 road crashes during last 24 hours in Punjab.
According to Rescue 1122, six people were killed while 623 sustained serious injuries in these accidents. However, some 406 victims, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged on the spot after provision of first aid by emergency medical teams.
About 454 drivers, 26 juvenile drivers, 143 pedestrians and 438 passengers were among the victims of road crashes. Statistics showed that 243 accidents were reported in provincial capital which affected 252 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 85 in Faisalabad with 97 victims and Multan at third with 70 accidents and 82 victims.—APP
