52 CCTV Cameras installed in Raja Bazar

Rawalpindi—In a bid to provide security to the traders and buyers, 52 CCTV cameras have been installed in ever busy oldest bazaar of city “Raja Bazar”. The project for the installation of CCTV cameras was inaugurated by City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Abassi here on Thursday.
Talking to traders, the CPO appreciated their effort for welfare of citizens adding that Police alone could not control crimes and their cooperation was essential for controlling crimes.
President Traders Welfare Association Shahid Ghafoor Paracha said the security system of the bazar would be linked with these CCTV cameras to keep an eye on suspicious elements as all wholesale markets were adjacent to Raja bazaar beside all religious and political processions also pass through the busy bazaar.
He hoped that use of modern technology would be helpful to provid security to the shoppers beside traders.—APP
