435,550 children to be vaccinated during anti-polio campaign

Khairpur—435550 children to be administered polio drops during three-day anti polio campaign scheduled to be held from 26 September to 28, in district Khairpur.
This was informed in a meeting chaired by District Chairman Anti Polio Committee and Deputy Commissioner Khairpur Fayaz Hussain Abbasi to review the arrangements of the campaign.
Deputy Commissioner urged the Taulika Health officers, UC Medical officers and secretaries of the concerned union councils to work with dedication to achieve the target. The meeting was informed by concerned health officials that during the campaign 435,550 children of under 5 years age would be vaccinated in whole the district and for this purpose 2,388 Polio workers would perform their duties at 138 fixed points and 90 transit points.
There will be 920 mobile teams to be active to administer polio drops to the children in remote areas of the district so that set target will be achieved. The meeting was attended by focal person, additional Deputy Commissioner II, Riaz Hussain Wassan, DHO Dr. Nisar Phulppoto and all Assistant Commissioners, THOs, PPHI’s representative Bashir Ahmed Jagirani, Muhammad Bux Dharijo, DSP Iqbal Malik, Dr. Syed Sajjad Hyder Shah, Dr. Shagufta Hyder, District Information officer Syed Sajid Hussain Shah, Rotrian Shujjat Ahmed Siddiqui, Muktiarkar Azhar Laghari and other officers.—APP
