KP politicians urge UN to take notice of brutal use of force, human rights violations

Lahore—Protest rallies have been held across the country against Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. People in large numbers have participated in rallies held after Friday prayers. While addressing the participants, different speakers urged international community to take notice of callous use of force in Indian-held Kashmir.
Pakistan People’s Party staged protest outside press club in Peshawar to mark solidarity with Kashmiris. People also rallied in leadership of JUI in Nushki and Sadiqabad and raised slogans against ruthless use of force in occupied Kashmir. Other cities including Loralai and Chaman also observed protests.
Addressing the participants, PML-N AJK Women Wing General Secretary Dr Farzana Nazir, MPA, Vice-President Ms Parveen, Ghulam Abbas Mir, PML-N candidate for LA-37 Valley-II Lahore seat, Dr Rauf, said that
Pakistan Sunni Tehrik (PST) on Friday observed protest day across the country against the atrocities of Indian army in occupied Kashmir and terrorist blasts in Saudi Arabia. Workers of PST Lahore staged a protest demonstration outside Data Darbar Bhatti Gate after Juma prayer to express solidarity with Kashmiris and against atrocities of Indian forces on innocent Kashmiries.
Pakistan People’s Party staged a demonstration to express solidarity with Kashmiris and protested against Indian atrocities in held Kashmir. PPP leaders including Samina Ghurki, Umer Sharif, Amer Barrister, Muhammad Ayub and a large number of PPP workers participated in the protest, held outside the Lahore Press Club here.
In a statement, PML-N leader Haji Pervez Khan fro Rawalpindi said Kashmir is core issue between Pakistan and India and Implementation of UN resolution to solve Kashmir issue has become voice of the day. He denounced Indian atrocities in held Kashmir, adding the sacrifices of Kashmiri people would not go waste and Kashmir would be liberated from Indian occupation.
He paid tributes to those who had laid down their lives for the cause of freedom. He welcomed Federal Cabinet’s decision to observe Black Day on Tuesday against Indian barbarism in Occupied Kashmir.
The Jamaat-e-Islami Sialkot has also strongly condemned Indian army’s mounting atrocities in held Kashmir. Addressing a press conference at Sialkot Press Club here on Friday, JI Sialkot District Emir Sheikh Attiqur Rehman ex-pressed complete solidarity with the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The people of Hyderabad have also expressed solidarity with the people of Indian held Kashmir and observed protest day by taking part in the protest demonstrations under banners of different political parties. On the appeal of Ameer Jamat Islami Pakistan Senator Siraj-ul-Haq, the local leaders and workers of the jamaat of Hyderabad chapter staged a big protest demonstration against the atrocities of the Indian troops upon the people of occupied Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the politicians of mainstream political parties here Friday urged the United Nations and International Community to take notice of the serious human rights violations and use of brutal force against peaceful civilians in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and demanded implementation of UN Security Council resolutions on Kashmir.
Noorul Haq said India could not stop people of Indian Occupied Kashmir from their just struggle for independence through use of force; saying time was not away when Kash-miris would get freedom from Indian subjugation.—Agencies
