3 food outlets sealed for violations of food safety laws

Islamabad—The inspection teams of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration sealed three food outlets including partial sealing of a hotel in G-11 Markaz for failing to comply with food safety laws.
According to the spokesman of district administration, ICT has further expedited on-going campaign against adulterated food items. The inspection teams conducted 217 inspections of food outlets and fined 12 food outlets whereas notices were issued to 43 food outlets for violations of food and hygiene laws.
The teams also confiscated 90 broken and unhygienic utensil and took 21 samples of food items for laboratory analysis. Assistant Commissioner, Waqas Rashid sealed two illegal diesel and petrol agencies and one illegal Catch Up manufacturing factory in Chak Shehzad area. He arrested two persons including owners of illegal factory and diesel and petrol agencies. FIR was registered against the accused persons in the area Police Station.
Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner (Rural) Syed Jawad Muzaffar, sealed an illegal Mineral Water and Juice manufacturing factory namely Safeway Food and Beverages factory in the jurisdiction of Koral and arrested four persons including owners of factories.—APP
