More than 3.5m children affected by diarrhoea, pneumonia globally

Provincial minister communication and works Malik Tanveer Aslam Awan has said that Diarrhoea and Pneumonia along with malnutrition are the leading causes of child mortality in Pakistan.
He expressed these views while addressing a seminar here.
He said that every year 53,000 children die because of diarrhoea in Pakistan which was an alarming situation which demanded to save the children from preventable childhood diseases and practicing improved hygiene behaviours and access to clean water.
“As a developing country we are facing number of challenges, for which we all have to work together to resolve”, he said.
