Lahore—On the second day of the anti-polio drive launched by Immunization department of the Health department Punjab some sixty percent target of the campaign was achieved.
This was stated by the Director EPI Dr.Munir Ahmed while talking to APP here on Tuesday. He said that a target of administering anti-polio drops to 18.4 million children below age of five years was fixed in which around 10 million children had been given polio drops so far.
He said that 44,000 teams in whole province was in action to administer anti-polio drops to children. He said that instructions had been issued to all the concerned DCOs to personally monitor the working of polio teams in their respective areas.Director EPI advised the parents to cooperate with the anti-polio teams so that the target of the drive could be achieved in successful way.
