Cold, dry weather to prevail, rain at isolated places

Met office has forecast cold and dry weather in most parts of the country while rain-thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds was expected at scattered places in Quetta, Zhob, Kallat, D.I Khan divisions, while at isolated places in Sibbi, Sukkur, Larkana, Kohat, Bannu, D.G khan, Makran divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan According to the synoptic situations a continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.
A westerly wave is approaching western parts of the Balochistan today (evening) and likely to persist over upper parts of the country till Wednesday. Weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However, light rain occurred in Quetta division and Kashmir. Following rainfalls were recorded in millimeters during Last 24 hrs: Balochistan: Quetta 01, Sindh: Moenjodaro Trace, Kashmir: Rawalakot & Kotli Trace.
Today’s Lowest Minimum Temperatures were recorded as follow: Kalam -05°C, Astore -04°C, Malamjabba, Parachinar, Skardu & Bagrote -01°C, Islambad 10C, Peshawar 13C ,Lahore 13C. The Provincial Met Officer Sunday forecast mainly cold and partly cloudy in most parts of Khyber Pakhtukhwa for next 24 hours. Similarly, cold and partly cloudy weather is expected in most parts of the province.
However rain thunderstorm along with gusty winds.—APP
