2 students killed, 20 injured as college bus overturns

Two students were killed while 20 others sustained injuries when a bus they were riding overturned near Chak Bhatti near here on Wednesday. According to Rescue sources, a bus of a Aspire College was heading towards Pheroki village to drop students when it turned turtle near Chak Bhatti after its driver lost control over the steering.
As a result, two students of Intermediate identified as Iftikhar Ahmad Tarar and Imdad Ahmad Rehmani of Thatha Bamaan died on the spot while 20 others sustained serious injuries. The injured were shifted to trauma centre from where two of the injured were referred to Lahore hospital in precarious condition.
In another accident, a van collided with a tractor trolley near Shah Jamal on Gujranwala-Hafizabad road, some 15 km away from here. As a result, Muhammad Nadeem, Naib Qasid of GEPCO Shaheenabad Gujranwala sustained fatal injuries and he was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
