156,000 students’ migrations to govt schools speak govt intent towards education: Atif

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Education, Energy and Power Mohammad Atif has said that the migration of over 156,000 students from private schools to the government schools during the last academic year is a proof of improvement in the standard and management of public sector education institution in the province. Talking to a group of students of Public Policy and Governance from National Defence University Islamabad Monday, he said Pakistan has everything in abundance of natural resources, to hardworking and talented human resource and weather conditions.
Improvement in law and order and ensuring justice to the people at large without any discrimination besides improvement in police force and concentration on education and health sectors were imperative for a developed society. He said the police system had been put on modern independent lines while health and education sectors, like all other institution were cleared from political interference. So much so that over 40thousand people were recruited on merit and not a single of them can even allege to be recruited without merit. Same is the situation of health as just in MTI LRH 32 highly qualified specialists/surgeons returned there from abroad and now serving their own countrymen. Regarding electricity production, he said 356 MW electricity had already been produced while by December 560 MW more will be launched.—APP
