As many as 15 accused were arrested in 10 cases regarding reported illegal sale of oil and diesel while 945,640 liters of oil/diesel having worth of about Rs 75.65 million was recovered from the accused by Keamari division police. Superintendent Police Keamari Arif Aziz on Thursday said this while quoting a report about action taken by the Keamari division police during the last one year that is from October 8, 2016 to September 1, 2017.
Referring the report, he pointed out that as many as 610 accused were arrested include 348 under narcotics act, 219 under arms Ordinance, 15 in cases of illegal trade of oil or diesel and 28 in the cases of street crimes. The accused were arrested during action taken by Keamari division police against law breakers in different areas of its jurisdiction in the metropolis. The police also recovered 195.8 kilograms of Charas, 1.7 kilogram heroin, 47 points of wine, 32 points of local liquor from the accused during the period. The police has further recovered 203 pistols, 29 hand grenades, six SMG riffles, one repeater and 624 round, besides Rs 375,600 cash and 10 allegedly snatched mobile phones from the accused.
