13 doctors submit resignation over security lack

Mandi Bahauddin—Thirteen doctors including two female doctors of DHQs Hospital submitted resignation and struck their work over lack of security arrangements for their protection in hospital. According to details some lawyers visited hospital the other day and allegedly misbehaved with Dr. Mujahid Mughal. Because of resign of doctors; treatment activities remain suspended. Negotiations of doctors with administration did not succeed. Doctors said pressure from any groups was unbearable and under such circumstances they could not continue service.
Meanwhile it is reported that one Muhammad Arshad resident of Chak Kamal was going on motorbike from Phalia to Kuthiala Sheikhan and in the meanwhile a motorcycle rider coming from opposite side collided with Arshad. As result of crash Arshad received vital injuries. He was evacuated to THQ Hospital Phalia and after giving first medical aid was referred to Lahore hospital being critical case. On his way to Lahore he succumbed to injuries. The other motorcycle rider was also injured but his condition is out of danger.
Meanwhile some unknown persons strangulated to death Muhammad Afzal when he was sleeping at night at his house in Bhgowal, a village in the vicinity of Malakwal.
