1122 trains 20,000 persons to cope with emergency situation

Rescue Service 1122 of the district imparted training to over 20,000 students, media persons and bank officials regarding first aid and equip them with skills to successfully handle emergency situation during one year.
According to official sources, the Rescue 1122 received 114953 emergency calls during one year and the Service effectively attended 535 road accidents, 119, fire incidents, 578 medical emergencies, 21 bullet injuries, five building collapsing incidents one bomb blast in the area and rescued precious several lives during those emergency situations during the same period.
In of view of its crucial role in saving human lives, efforts were also being made to expand the service by establishing more its centers in the district to extend relief to maximum people of the area.
The sources added people were being sensitized regarding performance and role of the Rescue 1122 so that maximum people might benefit from the service, which had always registered quick response during emergency situation and saved many human lives.
Meanwhile, a youngster was electrocuted to death while touching naked wires at his house, Diyal road here.
According to detail, Electric shocks left Nadeem son of Tanveer Sheikh severely injured and fainted upon touching live electricity wires at his house.—APP
