10-point Kashmir resolution call gets massive endorsement

Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, a 10-point resolution seeking peaceful resolution of Kashmir and Palestine disputes were adopted, supported and endorsed by thousands of people in all main mosques, shrines and Immambaras of Kashmir on Jumatul Wida.
A statement issued by the All Parties Hurriyet Conference in Srinagar said, opposing establishment of Sainik and Pandit colonies, the resolution demanded complete ban on sale and consumption of liquor in Kashmir and cautioned that the anti-Kashmir and anti-Muslim policies of the PDP-BJP regime would not be allowed to succeed in Kashmir and the Kashmiri people would continue to resist these policies at every level. The resolution said that the disputed nature of Kashmir was a living reality and its peaceful and durable solution lied in the right to self determination.
“The Kashmiris are a prime and important party to this dispute and it can’t be solved by ignoring the sacrifices and opinion of the people of the region,” the resolution reads. It appealed people to respect the sacred blood of martyrs and show a united face and determination against the Indian oppression.
Terming the establishment of Sainik and Pandit colonies as a well-planned conspiracy against the Kashmiri people and the Muslim identity of Jammu and Kashmir, the resolution said, “India is leaving no stone unturned to project the freedom struggle of Kashmir as a communal issue but these plans would not be allowed to succeed.”
Condemning arrests, crackdowns, killings, harassment and restrictions on political activities of pro-freedom people by the government, the resolution read: “The authorities have completely banned freedom of expression in the territory and turned it into a jail.—KMS
