A three-day workshop on ‘Bridging the Gap between Theory and Practice for the participants of Pre-Service Teacher Education Programme’ concluded here Thursday at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU).
The Higher Education Commissioner-British Council (HEC-BC) funded workshop organized by FJWU and Leicester, UK under the ‘Knowledge Economy Partnership Programme’.
Resource persons of the workshop were Dr Malik Ghulam Behlol and Dr Khalid Kayani. The main objectives of the workshop were to find out the gap between Theory and Practice of Pre-Service Teacher Education Programme, to provide an opportunity to the participants to engage in active learning, experience variety of active learning methods and to support the participants to design and practice activities for teachers that use active learning.
The chief guest of the concluding session Vice Chancellor University of Education Lahore Dr Rauf Azam appreciated the participants and hoped that the workshop proved a good mutual learning experience for the participants.
