The Information Department, Government of Sindh has conducted a 3 days workshop for training of officers of the Department in which renowned speakers from different media like print, radio and TV delivered their lectures. The training was very knowledgeable, scientific and according to the new challenges of present arena.
The Information Department, Government of Sindh has the responsibility of the projection and publicity of the Government of the day through media tools ie print, electronic and social media within available resources in a very hard manner as the present age of modern information and technology, with latest and modern equipment’s , the Department even in hard areas and time of disasters/emergencies etc played an important role in disseminating the information and first hand knowledge through the above mentioned media tools/methods but even its officials are technical and professionally sound with lack of their abnormal service structure as the subject matter deprived rather more than their actual and original service length had been lapsed/wasted since long affects the capacity and working badly but they are continuously tried hard for better results in available circumstances and unrest conditions.
The Secretary Information Department Imran Atta Soomro on this occasion addressed the concluding session and said that capacity building of officers is an essential part of all departments/organizations because capacity building enhances the capability of the officers to perform better and give better results. He said that the Sindh Information Department is the ear, eyes, pulse and face of the Sindh Government. Its officers closely coordinate with the members of Sindh Cabinet, Governor House, Chief Minister House and IG Sindh etc to promote soft image of the government. Imran Atta Soomro said that the officers of Sindh Information department minimize the gap between government and the masses through media. He stressed that for better results the officers of the department should be equipped with modern techniques of mass media.
