Withdrawal of money laundering charges against Altaf govt failure

Shikarpur—Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly (NA) Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah said that dropping of money laundering charges by London Police against MQM founder is the failure of Pakistan’s federal government. The opposition leader was talking to media in his native city of Sukkur on Friday. Khursheed Shah said that that Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) has clashed with the judiciary whenever it has come into power.
He claimed that PML-N governments don’t follow the court orders and always gives a tough time to the judiciary for enforcement of court rulings.The opposition leader stated that the government has imposed ban on a columnist of a renowned English newspaper to hide its mistakes. He said that placing restrictions on media by the government is acting like a monarchy. He also said that the government of Sindh is working to cancel the quotas of the MNAs and MPAs in government jobs. While talking about the political policy of PTI chief Imran Khan, Mr Shah said that due to wrong political policies the opposition is going to enable the Nawaz government more strong.
Replying to a question, Syed Khursheed Shah said that the gas and oil is produced by Sindh and other small provinces but inspite of that they are being ignored to provide gas facilities as well as the taxes in different positions also being imposed without any satisfaction over the people of small provinces. Besides the electric load shedding is being continued despite 194 megawatt is remaining in spare position and due to such untoward policies the federation could be weakened.
Replying to a question about the name of Dawn correspondent in ECL, Mr Shah said that it was inefficiency of the Nawaz government which could not keep the secret matters reserved which caused to leak out and was reported in newspaper and to give the name of correspondent in ECL was not morally and legally action before the completing due investigation into the matter.
On the occasion, the opposition leader asked the party local leaders and workers to support to PPP contesting candidate Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh on PS-11 Shikarpur. While he said and added that in any PPP leader and a worker will be treated with a party disciplinary who would be found involved in negligence of the party discipline.
