Waz United beat Deano United in exhibition match

Islamabad—Waz United beat Deano United by three wickets in an exhibition cricket match held late Tuesday in the Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi.
Batting first, Deano United (Dean Jones United) piled up a total of 106 runs on the scoreboard for the loss of six wickets.
Test Skipper Misbah ul Haq who lead the Deano United team got retired out at 21 while Dean Jones scored a superb 26 not out. Zohaib attained 24 runs.
In reply, Waz United (Wasim Akram United) which was headed by Mohammad Sami achieved the target n 11.5 overs for the loss of seven wickets.
Muhammad Irfan was the pick of the batsmen who scored 20 runs smashing three 6s and a single in the last over to help Waz United to victory over Deano United. Raheel (20 retired out), Asif ali (28), Kamran (12) and Ammad (15) also batted well.
Islamabad United held a series of events in Islamabad and Rawalpindi as part of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Trophy Celebrations. Wasim Akram, Dean Jones, Misbah and all available Islamabad players were present on the occasion in Pindi Stadium.
On Monday (September 19), an event was hosted by Islamabad Region Cricket Association at the National Cricket Ground, while on the evening of the same day an event was held at the Centaurus Mall.
It may be mentioned that Islamabad United team had defeated Quetta Gladiators in the final match of first season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in February, this year to clinch the trophy.—APP
