UN asked to play role in Kashmir settlement

In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt in continuation of public contact programmes visited Daulat Pora,Chadoora,Dhalwan and expressed solidarity with the families of martyred Kashmiri youth. Zahid Rashid, Faizan Ahmed, Jan Mohammad and Danish Ahmed were martyred on 9th April the day shame parliamentary elections were held. While condemning these killings by Indian forces, Zafar deplored that world, particularly the United Nations, had kept mum over the worst kind of human rights violation.
The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in a statement in Srinagar urged the United Nations to play its role in implementation of its own resolutions on the Kashmir dispute. He said that Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute, and needed to be resolved through plebiscite.
Tehreek-e-Mazahmat Chairman, Bilal Sidiqee in his statement expressed his deep grief over the killing of Muzafar Ahmad Mir and said that it was very sad to lose Kashmiri youngsters.—KMS
