Traffic wardens asked to be polite


Rawalpindi—The traffic wardens have been directed to remain polite during duty hours and rude attitude with the citizens, even with the traffic rules violators will not be tolerated.
Impoliteness will not be tolerated and bad-tempered wardens will be fined for being rude to the citizens or drivers.
Acting Chief Traffic Officer (ACTO) Rawalpindi Yousaf Ali Shah said this while issuing directives to Warden Officers and Traffic Wardens.
He said, the traffic wardens should deal with all the citizens even a traffic rules violators politely. Traffic police officers would not be allowed to use mobile phones on roads during their duty hours.
Strict action will also be taken against the traffic wardens who will be seen gossiping with each other and attending cell phones at their duty points and even found absent from duty.
He said, Traffic Wardens should make all out efforts to improve traffic flow on city roads so that the citizens could be provided relief.
He further said that the traffic wardens should perform their duties with more dedication and commitment.—APP
