Trade envoy discusses economic relations with Shehbaz


LAHORE: MP from Gillingham and Rainham, Rehman Chishti, who is also the newly appointed UK Trade Envoy for Pakistan, called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in London on Thursday and discussed issues of bilateral interests with him.

The MP in his meeting with the Punjab Chief Minister also discussed matters relating to enhancement of trade and investment in various sectors of economy.

The Trade Envoy appreciated the pace at which development projects were being executed in Punjab, and showed keen interest in further deepening the trade relations between the two countries.

Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif also extended Mr Chishti an invitation to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience, which the latter accepted with thanks and assured of his visit in near future.

The meeting provided a good opportunity for the two sides to discuss matters pertaining to bilateral trade.
