Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is likely at isolated places in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit- Baltistan and Kashmir while hot and dry weather would continue elsewhere in the country.
Thunderstorm is expected at Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Multan, DG Khan, Sahiwal divisions, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
A shallow westerly wave is still affecting Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas and likely to persist during next 24 hours.
A fresh shallow westerly wave is likely to enter upper and central parts of the country on Saturday (evening/night) and may persist during next 48 hours, an official of met office Muhammad Farooq told APP.
In last 24 hours weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country.
