Thunderstorm, rain likely at isolated places

Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is likely at isolated places in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit- Baltistan and Kashmir while hot and dry weather would continue elsewhere in the country.
Thunderstorm is expected at Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Multan, DG Khan, Sahiwal divisions, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
A shallow westerly wave is still affecting Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas and likely to persist during next 24 hours.
A fresh shallow westerly wave is likely to enter upper and central parts of the country on Saturday (evening/night) and may persist during next 48 hours, an official of met office Muhammad Farooq told APP.
In last 24 hours weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country.
Maximum temperatures recorded on Friday were Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana 47øC, Jacobabad, Sukkur 46øC, R.Y.Khan, Rohri, Moenjodaro, Turbat 45øC, Multan 42øC, Hyderabad 41øC, Faisalabad, Lahore 40øC, Peshawar 38øC, Islamabad 36øC, Karachi, Chitral 35øC, Muzaffarabad, Quetta 34øC, Dir 31øC, Gilgit 28øC, Skardu 27øC and Murree 23øC.—APP
