Lahore—Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will recruit 1000 teachers and other staff for its newly established Institutes under Annual Development Program (ADP) across the province of the Punjab.
The said decision was taken in a Board meeting here at TEVTA Secretariat under the Chairmanship of Irfan Qaiser Seikh.
It was attended by Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, Board Members Syed Yawar Ali, Hamid Malhi, Abdul Basit, Ismail Khurram, Rehmat Ullah Javaid, Nilofer Sikandar, Sajida Haider Vandal, Nilofar Mehdi and TEVTA Officers.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that TEVTA Board has constituted a sub-committee to ensure transparency and merit in the recruitment process.
The sub-committee included Nilofer Mehdi, Nilofer Sikandar, Hamid Malhi and representatives from industry and education department.
Chairperson TEVTA further said that Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has graciously allowed the recruitment of new staff in order to meet the shortage of faculty in these Institutes.
The new induction of teaching and other staff will give chance to dynamic and intelligent people to serve in the TVET sector.
All the recruitment procedure will be fair and transparent. New induction will hopefully be completed during the year after following the laid down recruitment procedure, he concluded.
