Islamabad—Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) (Operations) Sajid Kiani directed all the police officers to take steps for improving their performance, checking crime and providing safety to the citizens of federal capital.
While chairing a meeting of Rescue 15 here, he ordered police officers to intensify crackdown against proclaimed offenders and criminals, a police spokesman said.
The SSP directed police to enhance security of media houses, educational institutions and banks, while the under investigation cases should be finalised on merit as soon as possible.
He said effective patrolling should be ensured in the city in order to avoid any untoward incident, adding police should also utilise the latest Islamabad Capital Territory Police Communication System (ICTPOLCOM).
All the officers should arrange meetings with the administration regarding Muharram ul Haram and start working for improved security during the holy month, Kiani said.
He also urged police officers to ensure security of polio teams in their areas and said negligence would not be tolerated in any case.
The police officers who performed well would be rewarded, he added.
The meeting was attended by SSP (Investigation) Capt (R) Muhammad Ilyas, Zonal Superintendents (SPs), Senior District Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs).
