Lahore—A high level delegation of Turk Ministry of Health met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here Saturday. The meeting agreed upon speedy implementation of the agreement signed between Punjab government and Turk Health Ministry during recent visit of Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan regarding improvement of healthcare system in the province.
Talking to the delegation, the Chief Minister said that steps will be taken expeditiously for the uplift of healthcare system in the light of the agreement signed with Ministry of Health Turkey and no effort will be spared in this regard.
He said that core groups have been constituted for implementation of the agreement and responsibilities have been assigned to them.
He said that maximum improvement will be made in healthcare system of the province by benefitting from modern technology and Turk expertise. Shehbaz Sharif said that under the agreement, health information management and public health agency will be established.
He said that model of Turkey regarding health management system will be replicated in hospitals. He thanked Turk brethren for their cooperation in improving healthcare system in Punjab. All out efforts will be made for serving ailing humanity, he added.
He said that government will speedily implement the agreement signed with regard to improvement of health information management system.
The Chief Minister said that Punjab government has decided to install CT scan machines in 36 districts of the province as a result of which CT scan facility will become available to the people at their doorstep.
He said that CT scan facility will be available round the clock. The said that centralized system of procurement of medicines has been introduced in the province for checking spurious medicines.
He said that the samples of the medicines purchased are being checked from best lab of the world. He said that steps are being taken for harmonizing drug labs with international standard.
Meanwhile Head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and Chairman Kashmir Committee Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here Saturday. During the meeting matters of mutual interest, national affairs and situation in Occupied Kashmir came under discussion.
Both the leaders strongly condemned worst atrocities committed by Indian army on unarmed Kashmiri people in Occupied Kashmir and its unprovoked activities on Line of Control and expressed complete solidarity with Kashmiri people and bereaved families of martyrs. Speaking on the occasion.
