Lahore—Special Committee constituted by the Chief Minister Punjab to review the proposal of upward mobility and provision of proper service structure for 87 Directors Physical Education (DPEs) working in Commerce Wing of Higher Education Department and 32 DPEs working in Technical Wing of TEVTA met today at Civil Secretariat Lahore. Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Shamail Ahmad Khawaja presided over the meeting.
The meeting decided to send a summary to the Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in which it has been recommended that Directors Physical Education working in Commerce Wing of Higher Education Department and Technical Wing of TEVTA may be granted 4-tier Service Structure separately on 87 & 32 sanctioned posts respectively on the ratio of 3:19:36:42 i.e. BPS-20 to BPS-17 formula. It has also been recommended that DPEs of BPS-16 working in BPS-17 (personal) of Commerce Wing of HED and Technical Wing of TEVTA working in various Government Colleges of Technology may be upgraded and regularized in BPS-17 (regular) along with post in relaxation of Rule 3 of the Punjab Civil Servants (Appointments & Conditions of Services) Rule 1974. Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Shamail Ahmad Khawaja informed the meeting that these recommendations have been worked out in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif as he accords top most priority to the promotion of Technical Education in the province keeping in view the fact that this is the only way forward to progress and prosperity of our beloved country, Pakistan.
All those who contribute in skills development in our youth, will be maximally facilitated on the special directions of the Punjab Chief Minister, he added. The meeting decided to send a formal summary for final approval of Chief Minister in this regard.
