Sit-in destroying economy

Lahore—Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader and Senator Kulsoom Parveen said on Thursday that demonstrations and sit-ins had destroyed the image of the country and badly affected the national economy.
Talking to APP, she said the objective of such agitation was to damage the entire political system prevailing in the country. “The plan is to derail democracy and such designs will never be materialised,” she said.
She said the protesting elements should end their marches and sit-ins for the sake of Pakistan. She said the government was working to strengthen the economy of the country but the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was creating hurdles.
To a question, she said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would change fate of the entire region.—APP
