Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid ul Azha following the Sunnah of Prophet Ibraheem. There are two major festivals of Eid namely Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Azha. It is also known as Eid e Qurban because animals are sacrificed in remembrance of Prophet Ibraheem ‘s great sacrifice. There is a great lesson in it for us all.
On 9 Zilhaj the Pilgrims from all over the globe perform Haj. After completion of Haj they offer sacrifices. The story of Hazrat Ibraheem and his sacrifice is narrated in the Holy Book. He presented his son Ismail for sacrifice in the way of Allah. Allah the Almighty was pleased with him and replaced a lamb for his son. Hazrat Ibraheem & Ismail passed the test with flying colors.
I offer my hearliest Eid Greetings to all the Muslims of Pakistan and special thanks to all who have wished us Happy Eid.
